On June 29, in the Businessman Institute in Warsaw, club members and all invited guests took part in the “Executive Summer Exercise” club meeting organized by Executive Club. The aim of the event was business integration in an informal setting, exchange of experiences, and acquisition of new knowledge and skills.

The meeting was opened by a speech of Beata Radomska – CEO of Executive Club and prof. Michał Kleiber – Chairman of the Council of Executive Club, President of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the years 2007-2015, who talked about previous industry conferences and club meetings, while Beata Radomska announced new events, which will take place after summer vacation.

The participants could learn more about the two oldest school networks in Poland – EMPIK SCHOOL and PROFI LINGUA Szkoła Języków Obcych, teaching all popular foreign languages, not just English and German, but also Czech, Russian, Norwegian, and even Chinese.

The main part of the event began with a speech of prof. Rafał Ohme – psychologist and expert in the field of emotions, communication, and management, who talked about neuroscience and the harmony of emotions and the mind. “We should stop being ashamed and afraid of emotions. We should accept them and learn to harmonize intellectually” – said the professor.

The speech raised a lot of interest, which was maintained by Marcin Mańka – instructor and coach of the Academy of Image and Communication, who asked the guests to take part in various exercises and shared his knowledge concerning the art of self-presentation and tips on how to be a more confident public speaker. His valuable advice on the awareness of one’s own emotions, which is key for better self-presentation, was very compelling for the audience.

After the content-oriented part of the event the guests could witness unique and one-of-a-kind performances on the stage of Executive Club. The bravest of club members presented their musical talents and proved that “business is also Rock’and’Roll” during the “Executive lack of Talent Show”, organized in cooperation with Akademia Rocka. The guests of the Businessman Institute could also learn new dance moves with Artur Murray Dance Studio Warsaw.

The event culminated in a raffle with prizes funded by the partners. These included vouchers for a semester in EMPIK School and PROFI LINGUA Szkoła Języków Obcych, a weekend with a Jaguar from British Automotive Centrum – approved dealer of Jaguar and Land Rover, and a spa weekend at the Sielanka nad Pilicą hotel for two persons, funded by Walter Herz.

At the end of the day the participants could savor refreshing drinks and excellent cuisine in the bosom of nature.
