The most renowned representatives of Polish and foreign companies as well as guests from the world of politics will participate in the first club meeting organized by Executive Club this year. The debate will open a cycle of meetings devoted to various branches of the economy, which will take place in 2016 under the title of “Open Dialog Forum”.
The idea of the Forum arose in response to the strong need for effective communication between the worlds of business, science, and public administration. This cycle will not only enable the representatives of the state to demonstrate the ideas and initiatives of the government, but also allow business and scientific circles to present their views and predictions concerning the future of the Polish economy.
The meeting, moderated by the Editor-in-Chief of Gazeta Bankowa, Wojciech Surmacz, will be attended by Adam Czyżewski, Chief Economist of PKN ORLEN, Dorota Hryniewiecka-Firlej, President of the Management Board of Pfizer Polska, Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn, Innovation Leader 2015, and Piotr Paszczyk, President of the Management Board of APN Promise.
The side of the government will be represented by Dr Piotr Dardziński, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, expert on innovation and science-business cooperation, and Krzysztof Szubert, Strategic Advisor to the Minister of Administration and Digitization, Anna Streżyńska, former Minister of Digitization of the Business Centre Club Economic Shadow Cabinet.
The discussion will be summarized by Witold Orłowski, Member of the National Development Council of the President of the Republic of Poland, Principal of the Warsaw University of Technology Business School.
The participants of the “Entrepreneurial and innovative Poland” debate will discuss how to further support the development of entrepreneurship and assess the condition of the Polish economy in the face of internationalization. Moreover, the goal of the debate is to show the importance of integrating science and business – two areas functioning virtually on the same market, which need to establish effective cooperation in order to thrive. In the age of fierce competition, an efficient system of funding innovation, supported by state institutions, is key for creating an ecosystem that will allow family businesses to compete worldwide.
