Michał joined Montagu in February 2008 and in 2010 he became head of Montagu’s Warsaw office. Previously, he worked at Innova Capital, a CEE focused private equity fund, as well as corporate finance departments of Ernst & Young and Andersen.

Before joining ABN AMRO Corporate Finance, Marek was Director of Fixed Income Origination at ABN AMRO Bank (Polska) SA. Marek commenced his career at ABN AMRO in 1995 and was engaged in numerous domestic and foreign fixed income transactions as well as strategic transactions of the Bank in Poland.

Before ABN AMRO, Marek worked for almost 3 years in the Warsaw and London offices of the leading international law firm Clifford Chance, where he specialised in banking and capital market transactions. For over a year Marek was Assistant to Minister Chief of the Council of Ministers Office Jan Maria Rokita in the government led by Hanna Suchocka.

Marek graduated from the Law School at Warsaw University. During his studies Marek participated in law programs at University of Le Mans and Strasburg in France. Marek is fluent in English and French.

He has been working for the fund since 2003. He co-ordinates a wide range of investment projects in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. What is more, he is also responsible for acquiring new business opportunities on these markets. Jozef Janov has successfully managed Żabka chain-stores’ development – Penta’s best investment in Poland and one of top investments on all operational markets in the fund’s history.

He was also in charge of introducing the chain on the Czech market and subsequent acquisition of supermarket chain Koruna. Furthermore, he is responsible for development of fixed-odds betting operator Fortuna Entertainmnet Group – that has been listed on Warsaw and Prague Stock Exchanges since 2010 – and Central European windows’ producer – Hasau Group Holding.

Jozef Janov has graduated with honours from Banking and Finance faculty at the University of Economics in Bratislava and Martin Luther University Halle in Wittenberg.

Prior to his work for ARX Jacek Korpała held the position of Partner of Director of Corporate Finance Practice and of the member of the management board of Arthur Andersen Polska. The main focus of AACF activities was on: M&A, project finance, valuations and IPO related assignments. Prior to his corporate finance advisory work Korpała performed functions of the director of the Large Privatisations Department at the Polish Ministry of Privatisation, where he was responsible for transformation and divestiture of major state-owned companies. Mr. Korpała is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics. He participated in professional training in corporate finance and capital markets at Arthur Andersen, Amsterdam Institute of Finance and other Polish and Foreign business education centres. While at Warburg Pincus, Mr Pietrasik was involved in $200m acquisition of the minority stake in United Internet as well as $260m acquisition of a majority stake in Restauravia Group by Amrest.

Before joining Warburg Pincus he was an Associate Director of Mid Europa Partners based in Warsaw, where he was instrumental in €450m acquisition of Bite in 2007 as well as $1.1bn public-to-private of AMEX-listed Invitel in 2009. While at Mid Europa he was focusing on deal sourcing and execution across Central and Eastern European countries.Prior to 2006 he worked for JPMorgan in London in the Telecom, Media & Technology M&A team, where he advised on a number of high-profile transactions in Western Europe and CEE. His earlier experience includes brief affiliation with McKinsey in Warsaw.

Mr Pietrasik received his M.A. in Management from London School of Economics and Finance and Banking degree from Warsaw School of Economics.

Prior to joining BRE Bank, Michał worked in consulting companies (corporate finance, controlling systems) and other banks (e.g. Citibank). He was involved in several M&A transactions.

Michał has been Supervisory Board member of many companies. He holds a Master Degree in finance and banking from Warsaw School of Economics. He completed Advanced Management Program IESE Business School in Barcelona.
