Who we are
Executive Club is a business organization bringing together members of top management representing the most important Polish and international companies. Since 2005 the Club has assembled well-established business leaders, whose actions set standards in the development of the Polish economy.
The club inspires, helps identify the needs of management leaders, and supports the development of Polish business. The Club is the first and largest organization of this type in Poland – well-established and built on cooperation with the most important market entities in Poland and abroad.
The club is not associated in any way with the activities of any political party, nor does it participate in the promotion of political parties.
The mission of Executive Club, as an organization bringing together representatives of top management, is mainly the creation of a platform for the exchange of experience, knowledge, and ideas through the unique cooperation of business practitioners and outstanding representatives of science and politics.

Pillars of the Club’s activity
In the era of constant technological development and socio-economic changes, leadership is becoming an increasingly difficult challenge. Wise leadership helps companies use their full potential and work for the benefit of the entire society. Executive Club cooperates with leading authorities from international business schools, who inspire leaders, provide knowledge on the latest trends in business, and set new paths to effective and wise company management.
Cooperation between business and science
The events of Executive Club constitute a platform for an expert debate between science and business. We focus on the development of the economy based on the intellectual potential of its citizens. Our organization closely cooperates with universities from Poland and abroad, including: IESE Business School, London School of Economics, INSEAD, Warsaw School of Economics, Warsaw University of Technology, University of Warsaw, Kozminski University.
Executive Club supports corporate social responsibility, which is the response of business to global challenges arising from the goals of sustainable development. Executive Club events in a nutshell
The Club organizes regular meetings for its members to provide opportunities to exchange ideas, establish new contacts, and inspire to undertake business challenges.
During our debates and conferences we look for mechanisms that consolidate the dynamic economic development of the country. Above all we want to develop systemic solutions that prove effective in a long-term perspective.
The international congress of European Executive Forum, industry conferences, and club debates bring together an outstanding group of experts every year. These include, among others, outstanding speakers and representatives of the highest state authorities from Poland and abroad, scientists and scholars from the most renowned universities in the world, as well as visionaries in the field of business.
Enterprise, Management and Innovation Council
Advisory board constituted in a reply to the need for creating a voice of advice which will determine the ways of development for polish business. Superior goal of Enterprise, Management and Innovation Council is conversation related to the most crucial issues in the national business and development of current concepts of innovative management. In addition, its members will assign the directions of this development.
Prof. Michał Kleiber
Chairman of the Enterprise, Management and Innovation Council, Vice-president of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, President of the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS)
He was the Academy’s President in the years 2007-2010, re-elected for the term 2011-2014. Between 1995 and 2002, Professor Kleiber was the director of the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where since 1986 he has been chairman of the Department of Computational Science and Engineering. In the years 1998-2002 he was member of the Academy’s Presidium and between 1997-2001 he chaired the Board for Directors of the Academy’s research institutes.
Prof. Michał Kleiber pursues research in theoretical and applied mechanics as well as information science and applied math. The main subject of his research are applications of state-of-the-art computational techniques in different areas of scientific research, technology and medicine – particularly for modeling, analyzing, simulating and visualizing of complex non-linear thermo- mechanics phenomena. In recent years, he has been actively involved in research and promotion of national innovation policies. Professor Kleiber is an author or co-author of over 240 scientific works and 7 books published by internationally renowned publishing houses. He is a member of editorial boards of 17 leading international scientific journals and the editor-in-chief of the prestigious Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering (Springer). He has also been active in popularizing science by, among others, being a scientific board member for the popular-science journal Wiedza i Życie (Science and Life). Prof. Kleiber is a winner of many awards, including the most prestigious Polish scientific award conferred by the Foundation for Polish Science and the medal granted by the Kingdom of Belgium for innovation achievements. He has been awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by the universities in Lublin, Kraków, Warsaw, Darmstadt (Germany), Mons (Belgium) and The Polish University Abroad, London, U.K. He also holds the ingenieur honoris causa title from the Ecole National d’Ingenieurs in Metz (France). He is a foreign member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg and member of the Academia Europaea in London. He is a full member of the Warsaw Learned Society.Prof. Kleiber lectured and did research during long-term stays at a number of renowned universities world-wide: in Stuttgart, Hannover, Darmstadt and Bochum in Germany; Berkeley, CA and Stoors, CN, USA; Tokyo, Japan; Hong Kong, among others.In the years 1998-2001 Michał Kleiber represented Poland in the EU Joint Research Centre as a member of the Board of Governors and in the “Sustainable Growth” Steering Committee in the 5th Framework Programme. Between 2001 and 2005, he headed the Ministry of Science and Information Technology in the Polish government. From 2002 to 2005, Prof. Kleiber was also the chairman of the Governmental Committee for Offset Contracts. In 2005, he was elected member of the European Research Council (Brussels) and chairman of the European Materials Forum (Strasbourg). In the years 2008 – 2010 he was member of the Governing Council Steering Committee of the European Science Foundation in Strasbourg. He also served as the pro bono science and technology advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland (2006 – 2010).

Krystyna Boczkowska, president of Robert Bosch and representative of the Bosch Group in Poland. For 25 years, he has been contributing to the success of Bosch in our country. Works among others in Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce as well as in the Congress of Women. She is one of the most influential women in Poland, awarded with titles of Woman of the Year or a person honored for the development of automotive market. She graduated from the Faculty of Precision Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology and MBA Executive Studies in Finance.

Mira Kantor-Pikus is a Partner at Cushman & Wakefield responsible for 5 years for strategic advisory within Capital Markets Group focused on capital structures, debt arranging, feasibility study of development projects, equity raising, debt management, restructuring and support in creation fund structures. She has over 20 years of professional experience in banking, financing and investment sector, including real estate and corporate financing. Prior joining Capital Markets she was working for many years in ING Lease on managerial positions responsible among others for structured finance in CEE. Mira has developed a significant track record of successful closings real estate deals, debt advisory for portfolios of properties and single assets, debt management of portfolio of properties for investment funds, preparation of fund strategies and offering structured finance solutions to Polish and international investors. Mira has Masters degree in Engineering from Warsaw Technical University, Masters degree in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics. She has finished Postgraduate Study in Law and Administration from Warsaw University and has obtained business grade Executive MBA.

Graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin and the University of Insurance and Banking. MBA graduate. Possesses over ten years of experience as a manager. Worked at such financial institutions as: Allfinanz, an Austrian brokerage firm, and Skarbiec Asset Management Holding.For several years she has been associated with the personnel consulting industry, especially as a Managing Partner at Cigno Consulting, where she operates in the areas of selection, recruitment, and personnel consulting. Initiator and President of Executive Club, the most elite organization bringing together members of top management. Responsible for the strategy of the club, which integrates business elites and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and inspiration for managers of the highest level.
Prof. Witold Bielecki
Rector of the Kozminski University
Polish economist, has a post-doctoral degree in economics, head of the Department of Quantative Methods and Applications of Computer Science at KU. Author of many scientific publications in the areas of information technology, management (business) simulation games, simulation models, operational management, decision support system and entrepreneurship in a virtual environment.
Vice-President of the Management Board, ING Bank Sląski S.A
In her capacity, Joanna Erdman is in charge of the Strategic Clients Division and Financial Markets Division at ING Bank Śląski S.A. in Poland.She started her professional career in 1995 in the Marketing Department in Bank Pekao S.A. She joined ING in 1996 and has since then been related to the area of Strategic Clients, as Department Director, Division Director and, prior to her appointment to Vice-President in 2013, Head of the Strategic Clients Division of ING Bank Śląski.Joanna Erdman is a graduate of the Finance and Statistics Faculty at the Warsaw School of Economics.
Dr n. med. Dorota Hryniewiecka-Firlej
President of the Management Board, Pfizer Polska, Internal Medicine Lead;President of the Board, INFARMA
Dorota Hryniewiecka-Firlej graduated from the Medical University in Poznań, with a Ph.D. and the specialization in internal medicine. She has many years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry: Medical Representative and Hospital Treatment Department Manager in Janssen-Cilag, key managerial functions in Novo Nordisk and Wyeth. In Pfizer since 2009, currently Dorota Hryniewiecka-Firlej holds the position of Country Manager Pfizer Poland and Pfizer Internal Medicine Poland Lead, being also a member of Pfizer Innovative Health European Management Board. She is a member of numerous organizations and associations, e.g. INFARMA, Employers of Poland, Executive Club, Business Centre Club. Parallel to an active professional life, she acts for the local community. In spare time, she is dedicated to her passion Gothic manuscripts: she creates and paints illuminations using dyes prepared by herself on the base of medieval recipes.
Managing Director, Canon Poland
Joined Canon EMEA in 1983. Since that time he has developed strong leadership experience as well as in-depth knowledge of Canon’s business. He has held senior roles across Europe Middle East and Africa while working within the Canon European organization, most recently prior to arriving in Poland Iain worked in the Canon UK and Ireland organization as Services and Support Director. During his career Iain has led many business transformation programs for Canon in Europe.
Prof. Krzysztof Obłój

Krzysztof Obloj, Ph.D., former president of European International Business Academy, is a distinguished professor of Strategic and International Management. He holds chairs of Strategic Management departments at Kozminski University and School of Management of University of Warsaw. He has regularly taught at Bodo Graduate School of Management in Norway, ESCP-EAP in Paris, and Henley Management College in UK. As a visiting professor he spent a considerable amount of time doing research and lecturing abroad, mostly in the USA at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Yale University, Central Connecticut State University and Duquesne University. He is extensively published. He published three books in the US (“Management Systems”, 1993; “Winning: Continuous Improvement Theory in High Performance Organizations”, 1995, Passion and discipline of strategy, 2010) and coauthored few in Europe. He published articles in Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice, Journal of Management Studies, European Management Journal, Industrial&Environmental Crisis Quarterly, International Small Business Journal, Cybernetics and Systems: An International Journal, PostCommunist Economies, and several Polish journals. His last books published in Poland: “Corporate strategy”, 2014, and ‘Passion and discipline of strategy’ , 2016, became bestsellers and have already several editions. Professor Krzysztof Obloj is a renown corporate speaker and consultant in Poland and advises numerous Polish and international firms (e.g. LPP, PKN, Asea Brown Boveri, LG, Benckiser, Beiesdorf, Gedeon Richter, Rockwool, Valeo) in the areas of strategy, structure and organizational culture. He is a member of two supervisory boards of large listed companies.

Co-owner and Partner in Value4Capital, private equity firm focused on investments in mid-market Central European companies. Jacek has 20 years experience in M&A and capital investments. He was the President of the Polish Private Equity Association from 2005 to 2010 and was Vice-Chairman of the investment committee of Krajowy Fundusz Kapitałowy, a government venture programme. Currently, he is the President of Konsalnet Holding S.A., the largest security company in Poland. Jacek is also a member of Business Centre Club and Polish Business Roundtable Club.

Santiago de la Cierva
Professor of IESE Business School, founder and first director of international television agency ROMEreports
Santiago de la Cierva experience combines the three sides of communications: journalism (as director of a TV news agency), corporate communications both in business and in the non-profit sector, and the academia, teaching institutional communications and crisis management in three universities. His current fields of interest are understanding how much communications the top management should know, how to lead the organization with a communications perspective, and developing protocols and best practices for using events as communication channels.
President of the Board, APA Group
Graduated of Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science, on Silesian University of Technology, Institute of Electronics, specialization: computer control systems. For 14 years he has gained experience in implementations and planning controlling systems, for such clients as VW, GM, Daimler and Siemens. He worked as technical consultant during construction of VW factory in Poznań. He was responsible for standardizations and optimization of the manufacturing process in the factory. Currently he is CEO in APA Sp. z o.o. and APA Innovative Sp. z o.o. He is also a member of Program Board of Electric Department on Silesian Technical University.
President of the Management Board, Atende
A graduate of the Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University – Master of Physics (1976), Ph. D. in experimental physics (1980), habilitation in high energy physics (1990). He has significant scientific achievements, including dozens of publications in the field of high-energy nuclear physics. He has won many awards and prizes including the award of the Minister of Education. In August 1991, a team of the Computer Centre of the Faculty of Physics at the Warsaw University under the leadership of Roman Szwed made the historical connection of Poland to the global Internet. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Between 1991 and 2012 worked at ATM, since 1993 to 2012 as a President of the Management Board. After the establishment of ATM Information Systems (currently Atende), as a result of division of ATM, he became a President of the Management Board in the newly formed company. During his career, Roman Szwed has been awarded numerous honors and awards for his work, including the Golden Cross of Merit for promoting the development of the information society. Currently, Roman Szwed is a member of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications, the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Advanced Technology and the Board of Science of the Institute of Communications.
Vice President, Partner at PwC Polska
Jacek Socha is the Vice Chairman of PwC Polska Sp. z o.o. He joined PwC in December 2005. Since joining the company he has advised a number of Polish enterprises as well as foreign companies.
As Minister of State Treasury, in the years 2004-2005, he successfully completed a number of privatization transactions through the Warsaw Stock Exchange, including the biggest IPO in Poland – PKO BP.
As Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Poland, in the years 1994-2004, he participated in the process of creating regulations for the Polish capital market, as well as regulations which adjusted Polish law to the European Union’s regulations. He also participated in the admission process of a large number of companies currently listed on the WSE.
He is the Honorary Member of: – the Warsaw Stock Exchange, – the Chamber of Brokerage Houses, – and the Association of Securities Brokers and Investment Advisors.
He executed essential functions in the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), where, in the years 1998-2000 he chaired the European Regional Committee. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Emerging Market Committee in the years 1996-1998 and Member of the Executive Committee in the years 1994-2000.
Jacek Socha was engaged, from the very beginning, in the creation of Corporate Governance rules in Poland, he is the co-writer of the first rules approved by the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2002. He is the Member of the Corporate Governance Committee. Jacek Socha is an Arbitrator of the Arbitrary Court acting by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority..
Prof. Cezary Wójcik
Founder and Director of the Center for Leadership, professor of leadership and finance at SGH
Economist, founder of Center for Leadership, SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In 1998 he graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics with a master’s degree, and in 1999, from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. In 2003 he obtained his doctorate in economics. In 2009 he received post-doctoral degree in economics. In 2011 he graduated from the Master Class for Leadership Educators at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Andrzej J. Kozłowski

Mr. Andrzej J. Kozłowski is the President of the Management Board of EmiTel S.A. from January 1, 2018. Has nearly twenty years of professional experience in Poland and abroad. Prior to taking up his current position, in 2009-2017 he held the position of the Executive Director for Strategy and Project Management at PKN ORLEN SA. He was also the Management Board Member at Unipetrol a.s. in the Czech Republic responsible for Strategy and M & A, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at ORLEN Upstream Sp z o.o. in Poland and a member of the ORLEN Upstream Canada Ltd. Board of Directors in Canada. Previously, he has been involved in the telecommunications and new technologies sector for over 10 years. He worked as the Director of the Strategy and Regulatory Co-operation Office at TP EmiTel, Project Director at Prokom S.A., Project Manager at Telekomunikacja Polska and consultant at the American consulting company AMS Management Systems where he carried out projects in Portugal, Germany and the USA. Mr. Kozłowski is a WSB – National-Louis University in Nowy Sącz graduate in the field of Management and Marketing. He also holds an MBA from the Maastricht School of Management in the field of corporate strategy and industrial policy.
